The Collection - The Collector 2 is an American horror film directed by Marcus Dunstan in 2012 . The film is the sequel of the film The Collector from the year of 2009.

action

Elena, aka Elle, is invited by her friends Missy and Josh to come to an underground nightclub. She goes into a room and finds a young man, Arkin, trapped and then freed him. In the meantime, the guests are being killed with constructions that the collector himself installed. Elle is kidnapped by the Collector and Arkin escapes, seriously injured. Thereupon Arkin is kidnapped by Elle's father, Mr. Peter's submen, and instructed by Lucello to go on the hunt for the Collector and to save Elle. But even in the Collector's lair there are traps, so that hunters become the hunted.

Publication in Germany

After The Collection failed at the FSK because of the explicit scenes of violence, the uncut version was presented to the lawyers of the SPIO and was given the heavy seal of the SPIO / JK “legally harmless”.

In order to have an index-proof version in the backhand, a censored version of the film with the FSK seal “no youth release” was released on May 16, 2013 in addition to the uncut version. As with the predecessor The Collector , scenes of violence were cut out. This time even in the frame area so that not all violent scenes are missing. In the censored version a total of 64 cuts were used, which shorten the running time by 2 minutes 38 seconds.
