Daniel Andrew Sharman (born April 25, 1986 in Hackney , London , England ) is a British actor . He is best known for his roles in the film War of the Gods (2011) and in the series Teen Wolf (2011-2014).

life and career

Daniel Sharman was in April 1986 at the London district of Hackney born. He began acting at the age of nine when he was inducted into the Royal Shakespeare Company . With this theater company he appeared in 1995 in The Park and in 1996 in Macbeth . Sharman first attended Mill Hill School, a private boarding school, and then the Arts Educational School in London. During his school years he played at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the piece Kvetch of Steven Berkoff and with 16 years on tour in The Winslow Boy by Terence Rattigan . He made his television debut in 2003 in an episode of the Judge John Deed legal series starring John Thaw . He then studied from 2004 to 2007 at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art , from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts .

In 2007, Sharman starred in the television movie Robin Pilcher: In the Beginning Was Love - a literary adaptation of Robin Pilchers In the beginning was love , as Alex Dewhurst one of the leading roles before starring in the 2009 crime series Lewis - The Oxford Crime . He made his feature film debut in 2011 as the musician Harry in the drama The Last Days of Edgar Harding . In the same year he took on the supporting role of Zane in the last two episodes of the mystery series The Nine Lives of Chloe King . In addition to Henry Cavill , Mickey Rourke and Kellan Lutz , he portrayed the Greek god of war, Ares , in the fantasy film War of the Gods . From 2011 to 2014 he played the werewolf Isaac Lahey in the MTV series Teen Wolf , which was expanded to a leading role at the beginning of the third season.

In 2012 he starred alongside his teen wolf actress Eaddy Mays in the horror film The Collection - The Collector 2 , the sequel to The Collector from 2009, as Basil . In October 2013 he took on the role of the Canadian mounties Edward Montclair in the two-hour Hallmark - TV film When Love Wins - Departure to the West alongside Lori Loughlin , Maggie Grace and Stephen Amell . In 2014 he played the original vampire Kol Mikaelson in the spin-off series The Originals for several episodes . He has appeared in the third season of Fear the Walking Dead since 2017.

In the meantime, he was in a relationship with actress Crystal Reed until June 2013 .
