characters
Lucy Spiller is the center of the series. She is the editor-in-chief of the tabloids Dirt and Now, later just DirtNow, and is always under pressure to find new cover stories for the newspaper. Her father killed himself when she was younger, and since then she has had little or poor contact with men.
Don Konkey went to school with Lucy and studied journalism with her . He is the only one who has a deep bond with Lucy and works for her as a photographer. He takes exceptionally good pictures and even lost a finger to get a cover photo for Lucy. He has schizophrenia and is on medication. Lucy has to keep asking him to take this. In the first episode his cat dies, which he meets as a ghost in the following episodes. The cat asks him to take the medication.
Willa McPherson is an editor who walks on thin ice because of some bad stories. To show how much she cares about the job, she takes drugs from celebrity dealer Garbo. She wants to win her trust in order to get information.
At the beginning of the series, Holt McLaren was a worn-out film actor who only lived off the fame of earlier times. After Lucy published a report on him, he received offers from film studios and a contract for an action film.
