As a child, Matt Murdock lost his eyesight in a car accident in which he was doused in chemicals, while his other senses became significantly sharper. He makes use of this ability in the present to fight crimes at night as a vigilante dressed in black with a mask in Hell's Kitchen . B. Protected women exposed to human trafficking from being shipped. In everyday life, Murdock is busy setting up a law firm with his friend Foggy Nelson, the first case of which they get leaked by a policeman friend; it is a murder at the scene of which only a woman named Karen Page was found in shock. Whether it was Nelson & Murdock's lack of customers or the suspects' financial distress, the two of them accept her as a client and learn from her that she was drugged during an evening out with a work colleague and that she woke up next day next to his corpse. After a failed attempt to murder Karen in her prison cell, she is released and questioned again by Murdock and Foggy. She reveals that she worked for Union Allied, a company that rebuilds New York after it was destroyed , and that she recently came across a database of huge amounts of misappropriated funds that was constantly updated. Meanwhile, James Wesley, the right-hand man of the secret Union Allied leader, meets with representatives of the Yakuza , the Triads and the Russian Mafia , the latter telling him about the delivery of women that was prevented by a masked fighter. Karen finally sneaks out of Murdock's apartment, where he has taken her, and secretly gets the file she has hidden, but is attacked by an assassin sent by Wesley, from whom Murdock in disguise can save her. Murdock makes the Union Allied scandal public and in the process Wesley has all responsible Union Allied employees murdered. When Murdock then overhears the voices in the city on the roofs of Hell's Kitchen with the help of his excellent hearing, he hears the screaming of a little boy who is being kidnapped by the Russian mafia.
2 2 Cutman Cut Man Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Phil Abraham Drew Goddard
In several flashbacks you learn a lot about Matt Murdock's past and the time after he went blind. As a young boy, he lived with his father Jack Murdock, who makes a living as a boxer, and practices Braille. Jack finally receives a lot of money from betting fraudsters to purposely knock out his next fight. After he declines the offer for his son's sake and wins the fight, Jack is shot on the street. In the present, Murdock is lured into a trap by the Russian Mafia while trying to save the kidnapped boy and wakes up seriously wounded in a dumpster. He is found and treated by the nurse Claire Temple, which leads to the fact that she sees his face. Murdock then notices that a Russian henchman is on the way to them and hides. He pretends to be a police officer at Claire's front door and asks her about an alleged attack with the perpetrator on the run, but Claire can initially get rid of him through her pretended ignorance. Since Murdock suspects that the Russian did not believe her, he takes a fire extinguisher and drops it down the stairs on the man's head, incapacitating him. In the meantime, to take a little break, Foggy and Karen spend the night in a bar and after the absent Murdock cannot open the door for them, they continue to roam through Hell's Kitchen. Murdock ties up the Russian and finally brings him with a blow and a knife stab to reveal the whereabouts of the captured boy, whereupon he throws him off the roof and he ends up in the same dumpster as Murdock before. This then makes his way to the Russians and meets there with great resistance, but after a long fight he can kill all defenders and free the boy.
3 3 Hare in the snow storm Rabbit in a Snow Storm Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Adam Kane Marco Ramirez
Murdock and Foggy get a visit to their law firm from James Wesley, who makes them an offer to work for his company and first introduces them to his client John Healy, who apparently killed a man in a bowling alley in self-defense. When questioned by the two lawyers, Healy is by no means unsettled and is convinced of his innocence. While Murdock and Foggy work out a strategy for the trial, Union Allied offers Karen a check to keep quiet about the past, which she refuses. At the trial, Murdock uses his senses to notice a jury's heartbeat increasing as Wesley enters the room, and realizes that this is being forced to a verdict. During the night, Murdock in disguise is able to get the corresponding blackmailer, an unsuspecting middleman, to let go of the woman, whereupon she leaves the jury. It turns out that Wesley had put the assassin Healy on the victim, a multiple holding owner, so that Wesley's accomplice Leland Owlsley can acquire those holdings with his death. This time Nelson & Murdock had been entrusted with the case so as not to leave a noticeable trace of the corpse after the killings of the Union Allied witnesses and one possible further murder, namely Healy's . Meanwhile, Karen visits the newspaper reporter Ben Urich , who had previously published the Union Allied scandal in the New York Bulletin , and reveals to him that the case is more complex than it seems before. After another jury member was urged to abstain in the further process, Healy was acquitted. In order to find out more about his sponsor Wesley, Murdock confronts him as a masked vigilante and a fight ensues. Murdock wins this for himself and elicits the name of Wesley's boss, Wilson Fisk, from Healy, whereupon Healy commits suicide for fear of the consequences. Fisk, who was previously described by Wesley as an art lover during his conversation with Owlsley, is examining a completely white painting in an art gallery that an art broker compares to a rabbit in a blizzard.
4th 4th In blood In the Blood Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Ken Girotti Christo's fee
After Murdock breaks into the Russian mafia one more time to find out more about Wilson Fisk, his assistant James Wesley appears in the Russian quarters and confronts their leaders, the brothers Vladimir and Anatoly, with the new setback by the masked fighter. He offers them the help of his superior, which Vladimir sees as an attempt to gain control over them and refuses. Meanwhile, Karen meets with Ben Urich to bring him closer to the Union Allied bankruptcy case, although he initially only advises her to stay away from the matter. Claire Temple, now Murdock's personal doctor, is finally kidnapped by the Russians and taken to her hideout, where she is then tortured to extract information about the vigilante in disguise. Murdock takes up the chase and secretly reaches the hiding place, where he eliminates all attackers and frees Claire. Anatoly then decides, in contradiction to his brother, to accept Fisk's offer and see him in a restaurant where he is spending the evening with the art broker Vanessa Marianna. Anatoly causes such a stir there that Fisk's guards have to lead him out and Fisk leaves the bar with Vanessa, who, however, reacts very confused and Fisk reveals her uncertainty towards him. After Karen tries to find out who is secretly rebuilding the company under a different name at an auction for the Union Allied properties, she agrees at another meeting with Urich to do some research together and to accept Union Allied's offer to cover up their activities. Fisk is so angry with Anatoly, who exposed him in front of Vanessa, that he beats him up and smashes his skull with the car door, whereupon he orders Wesley to send the body to Vladimir.
5 5 A world on fire World on Fire Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Farren Blackburn Luke Kalteux
Vladimir is brought the decapitated corpse of Anatoly, where he finds a headscarf smuggled by Fisk of the masked vigilante who he then blames for the murder of his brother. At a meeting with his business partners, Fisk explains that the Russians are their enemy from now on. While trying to question two Russian henchmen about Vladimir, Murdock has to flee when the police arrive and arrest one of the Russians. The next day Murdock wants to go to the police station to investigate clues about the case of a new client, retired Elena Cardenas, whose home was destroyed by craftsmen after her landlord, wealthy businessman Armand Tulley, decided to convert the poor apartments into luxury apartments. He overheard the interrogation of the captured Russian by the police officers Blake and Hoffman, who, after the latter reveals the name of his employer, pretend to attack and shoot the prisoner. After visiting Landman & Zack , the law firm that Tulley represents and works for Foggy's ex-girlfriend Marci, Foggy and Karen go to Cardenas' apartment to help her with repairs. During the night, Murdock was able to steal Blake's cell phone, which contained the addresses of all the hiding places of the Russian Mafia. When Vladimir learns from gangster Turk Barrett that the disguised fighter is actually working for Fisk, he orders all weapons to be mobilized to take action against Fisk, not knowing that Barrett was paid by Fisk to share this information. Murdock arrives at the Russian weapons depot, into which a blind Chinese slave laborer is being led. This turns out to be a suicide bomber and shortly thereafter detonates a bomb that blows up the building, with Vladimir and Murdock barely surviving. Meanwhile, Fisk goes out with Vanessa, watches the numerous explosions at the Russian bases in Hell's Kitchen and convinces her that his criminal activities are correct. Murdock eventually pursues Vladimir from the burning wreckage and beats him up when the police appear and try to arrest Murdock.
6th 6th Tricked Condemned Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Guy Ferland Joe Pokaski & Marco Ramirez
When Murdock realizes that the police officers who surround him are paid by Fisk, he frees himself from their violence and flees to an abandoned warehouse with Vladimir, who is shot in the process. There Murdock tries to question Vladimir about Fisk, but the latter is unwilling to cooperate until Murdock convinces him that Fisk really did kill his brother. After Cardenas' apartment building is also affected by the explosions in the city, Foggy and Karen rush with her to the hospital, where Claire is meanwhile busy with numerous injuries. When Murdock calls, she explains how he can burn Vladimir's gunshot wound and thus keep him alive for the time being. In the process, however, the two are discovered by a police officer who calls for support on his radio before Murdock knocks him out. Alerted by this, Fisk's corrupt police officers Blake and Hoffman as well as an equally fake special unit approach to storm the building. Fisk finally makes it clear to Murdock over the radio that he is being held responsible for the attacks because he attacked police officers and freed a criminal from their custody, of which Fisk also passed a surveillance video to the media. In addition, he lets a sniper positioned on the roof of the warehouse shoot several police officers, including Blake, which is also blamed on the man in the mask. The task force then penetrates the building and kills the policeman who was previously tied up by Murdock because he does not belong to Fisk, but Murdock and Vladimir have already escaped through an underground tunnel. After meeting two special forces there, both of whom Murdock can take out, Vladimir takes one of the rifles and reveals to Murdock that Leland Owlsley is taking care of Fisk's money. Weakened by his injury, Vladimir then throws himself in the way of the incoming units one last time to help Murdock escape.
7th 7th Stick Stick Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Brad Turner Douglas Petrie
When Murdock ambushes Leland Owlsley to question him about Fisk, he is distracted by the sound of his old mentor's cane made by his old mentor, Stick, which Owlsley uses to stun himself with an electric bat. Stick, who is also blind and has similar skills as Murdock, taught him after his father's death to use his remaining senses purposefully and to fight, but treated him very mercilessly and without compassion. When Murdock showed signs of affection for Stick, the latter left him. Now Stick has returned to Hell's Kitchen to prevent the Yakuza from delivering a dangerous weapon called "Black Sky", but does not explain to Murdock what it is. Murdock grants him his help, on condition that Stick will not kill anyone. When he then notices at the harbor that “Black Sky” is a captured boy who, contrary to his promise, wants to kill the Stick with a bow and arrow, Murdock intercepts the arrow, but with this he betrays himself and the Japanese with that Boys flee into custody. After further fighting at the harbor, Murdock returns to his apartment, where Stick awaits him, who tries in vain to convince Murdock that the boy was not a child but posed a threat to New York. After telling Murdock that while he was still involved in fighting, he chased the fleeing yakuza and killed the boy, Murdock furiously attacks Stick and sends him to the ground after a lengthy duel. With the realization that his training in this regard was apparently crowned with success, Stick leaves Murdock's apartment. Meanwhile, Karen tells Foggy about her joint research with Ben Urich about Union Allied and shows him her results so far. Stick finally reports to a muscular, scarred man about his stay in Hell's Kitchen and informs him about the extinction of "Black Sky" and the condition of Murdock.
8th 8th Shadow in the glass Shadows in the Glass Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Stephen Surjik Steven S. DeKnight
After Foggy and Karen Murdock reveal that they are investigating the illegal activities of the disbanded Union Allied with Ben Urich, Murdock is annoyed by their reckless behavior, but agrees to help them in his own way. Meanwhile, Nobu, leader of the Yakuza, wrongly blames Fisk for the death of "Black Sky" because he had assured him that he would keep the police out of the harbor. Detective Hoffman is finally forced by Fisk to kill the yet unresponsive Blake in the hospital with lethal injection, so that Fisk does not betray. To interrogate Blake, Murdock sneaks in there and knocks Hoffman down, but cannot prevent Blake from dying. Murdock escapes when security guards break into the room, causing Hoffman to frame the attack and murder of Blake on the man in the mask. Fisk eventually receives a visit from Madame Gao, the leader of the triads, who warns Fisk that recent events have caused him to lose control of Hell's Kitchen and threatens to leave him outside of future deals with Nobu and Owlsley. Fisk is so enraged by the knowledge of his negligence that his advisor Wesley brings Vanessa over to appease him. The latter then tells Fisk about his childhood, in which he and his mother suffered from a violent father who one day he hit with a hammer when he beat his mother. In a conversation with Urich, Murdock in disguise explains that Wilson Fisk is the one who is ruining the city out of secrecy and must be shown to the public in order to expose his deeds. While writing an article about him, Urich saw a press conference on television by Fisk, who, encouraged by Vanessa, promised to protect the city from the masked fighter. Urich realizes that his article is late and deletes it, while Murdock reacts with anger at this unexpected twist.
9 9 Speaking of the devil Speak of the Devil Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Nelson McCormick Christos Cage & Ruth Fletcher Gage
After Urich Foggy and Karen report about the meeting with the masked man and convince them of Fisk's real intentions, they discover, together with Murdock, that Fisk officially earns his money with a company that Armand Tulley recently bought several residential buildings in the city. In fact, Fisk wants to leave this to Nobu, but is currently facing opposition from Elena Cardenas, who refuses to accept his compensation. Fisk promises Nobu that he will take care of vacant buildings in return for the disguised vigilante. After a visit to the gallery, during which Murdock tries to find out more about Vanessa and unintentionally meets Fisk, the law firm is finally notified of Cardenas' murder with a phone call. The three believe that Fisk is in charge and while Foggy and Karen spend the evening in a bar in mourning, Murdock tracks down Cardenas' killer, a junkie. Although he cannot tell him the name of his client, he can tell him the place of the order, a warehouse at the port. There Murdock meets the masked Nobu and a fight ensues in which Nobu Murdock severely wounded with his fighting skills and a Kusarigama . Murdock manages to push Nobu into a couple of nearby oil barrels and light a lamp above him, so that Nobu's clothes catch fire and he finally burns. Shortly afterwards, Fisk appears in the warehouse, accompanied by Wesley and a bodyguard, and is initially satisfied with Nobu's death, as Nobu was ultimately hostile to him. Fisk confirms that he had Cardenas killed to lure Murdock into a trap, and then starts pounding at him. Before Fisk can shoot him, Murdock can save himself by jumping through the window into the river. Then he dragged himself seriously injured to his apartment, where he collapsed in front of Foggy's eyes.
10 10 Nelson and Murdock Nelson v. Murdock Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Farren Blackburn Luke Kalteux
Foggy has Claire Murdock's wounds tended and is disappointed that Murdock has kept such a big secret from him over the years of friendship. With anger, he begins to doubt even Murdock's blindness, even when the latter tries to explain to him that the accident has sharpened his remaining senses so much that they almost completely replace sight. Urich tries in vain to extend the hospital stay of his amnesiac wife and therefore has to look for a nursing home. When he then gives up his investigation into the case of Union Allied and leaves Karen all the evidence she has collected so far, she persuades him to visit a nursing home that she has proposed. Murdock, meanwhile, continues to explain to Foggy how he planned to use his extraordinary skills to help needy citizens in Hell's Kitchen; including a little girl whose screams he regularly heard when she was sexually abused by her father. He realized that the law could not help the girl, whereupon he found the man on his own and beat him up. That is why he later left the unscrupulous law firm Landman & Zack with Foggy , which made individual citizens suffer under the power of big companies, and founded his own law firm. He became active as a vigilante for justice who watched over the city night after night wearing a mask. While visiting the nursing home, Karen manages, as had been hoped, to get into Fisk's mother's room with Urich, who tells them how Fisk killed his father as a child. Fisk himself is present at a specially organized charity event at which numerous guests, including Vanessa, are poisoned with drinks. Murdock is unable to convince Foggy of the correctness of his actions until the end of their conversation, which is why Foggy eventually leaves him and the firm.
11 11 The right path The Path of the Righteous Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Nick Gomez Steven S. DeKnight & Douglas Petrie
Fisk brings the unconscious Vanessa to the hospital, where she can first be stabilized. While Fisk worries about Vanessa's life in dismay, Wesley and Owlsley consider who could be behind the attack, considering the Chinese, Japanese and the vigilante. Murdock is meanwhile again doctored by Claire, who recommends him to get some armor before she says goodbye to him on vacation. After a visit to Murdock, where she learns about his argument with Foggy, Karen turns to Urich, who, however, attributes the statements of Fisk's mother to her poor state of mind and considers them unpublishable. Murdock takes Claire's advice to heart and finds out through Turk Barrett that the emotionally unstable tailor Melvin Potter is being forced by Fisk to make special bulletproof suits for him. After a duel in Potter's workshop, Murdock persuades Potter to help him in return for protecting him from Fisk. Karen visits Foggy, who is staying with his ex-girlfriend Marci, and tells him what Fisk's mother has revealed, but Foggy is just as unhelpful in his current condition as Urich. Wesley is finally informed of Karen's and Urich's visit by Fisk's mother, whereupon he decides to take care of it himself in view of the current worries of his superior and kidnaps Karen. He takes her to a hall, where he sits down at a table across from her and demands that Urich convince her that Fisk's mother made up her story. He puts his pistol on the table in front of her to threaten her with killing anyone who is close to her and then murder her herself if she is not willing to cooperate. When Wesley receives a call from Fisk shortly afterwards, who wants to make sure his whereabouts, and takes out his phone, Karen uses the moment of inattention, takes up the gun and shoots Wesley.
12 12 Blood is thicker The Ones We Leave Behind Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Euros Lyn Douglas Petrie
When Wesley's body is discovered, Fisk finds out through his cell phone that the last person he spoke to was Fisk's mother. Owlsley warns Fisk that their joint plan to tear down Hell's Kitchens poor residential areas and replace them with expensive modern ones is in jeopardy. Through hints from Urich, Murdock realizes that the heroin he found on Cardenas' murderer is regularly transported through the city by blind Chinese, especially since he saw one of them on the back seat of the two Russians when he tried to approach Vladimir. After Foggy promises Karen not to give up the fight against Fisk despite his departure from the firm, he tries to prove to Marci , who works at Landman & Zack , that her client Fisk is to blame for Hell's Kitchens high crime rate. Chasing a blind Chinese woman and the car she gets into, Murdock discovers a guarded Chinese warehouse. When Urich, at Karen's request, presents the story of Fisk to his superior at the Bulletin, who ignores it, Urich accuses him of being bribed by Fisk, whereupon he is fired. Murdock eventually sneaks into the warehouse, where he meets countless blind Chinese who are packing heroin. However, he is noticed by Madame Gao and there is a fight with her henchmen, who shoot an oil barrel, which catches fire and sets the entire facility on fire. While Gao is fleeing, Murdock leads the blind slave laborers outside. Gao then meets with Owlsley and it becomes clear that the two are behind Vanessa's poisoning. Their goal was to free Fisk from his weakness acquired by Vanessa, which they blamed for the past failures. During the conversation, Gao explains that after these events she will return to her homeland for the time being. When Urich comes to his apartment, Fisk is waiting for him, who has learned from an informant at the Bulletin about Urich's visit to his demented mother. This made Fisk so angry that, out of concern, he had his mother taken out of town and is now taking revenge on Urich by throwing himself on Urich and choking to death.
13 13 Daredevil Daredevil Apr 10, 2015 Apr 10, 2015 Steven S. DeKnight Steven S. DeKnight
After Ben Urich's funeral, Foggy meets with Murdock and understands why he settles their argument in order to defeat Fisk together. Owlsley has now discovered the stealth and urges him at their meeting to admit that he poisoned Vanessa together with Gao. As a safeguard against Fisk, however, Owlsley gives Detective Hoffman shelter and pays him for this Fisk to betray as soon as Owlsley no longer answers. Fisk ignores this threat, kills Owlsley, and assigns his henchmen to find Hoffman. Murdock also found out about this through the chance eavesdropping on two police officers and found out Hoffman's hiding place using the information Marci had obtained from Landman & Zack . Just as the corrupt cops storm it and kill the guards, Murdock appears and saves Hoffman. On Murdock's instructions, he went to a friend of his police officers and made the testimony against Fisk with Nelson & Murdock as lawyers. This can be used to arrest numerous allies of Fisk, including Turk Barrett, several police officers, a source for the Bulletin, a senior Landman & Zack attorney and a senator. Ultimately, Fisk is arrested as well, who previously had the recovered Vanessa removed from the city. The prisoner transport is finally stopped by a group of masked gunmen who free Fisk and bring them to safety in a truck. When Murdock hears this on the news, he decides to stop Fisk for good and picks up his Melvin Potter-made equipment, a red battle suit with a helmet and two batons. With the help of his hearing, he tracks down Fisk's truck and makes it stop, whereupon Fisk takes refuge in an alley. Murdock follows him and it comes to a duel, in which Fisk and Murdock fight at eye level. Thanks to his suit, Murdock is better protected, so he finally manages to knock Fisk unconscious and hand over to the police. Fisk ends up in jail and the red-clad vigilante is dubbed “Daredevil” by the media, while Murdock, Foggy and Karen resume their work at the law firm.

14th 1 Bang Bang 18 Mar 2016 18 Mar 2016 Phil Abraham Douglas Petrie & Marco Ramirez
While Matt Murdock continues to hunt criminals as Daredevil in red combat suit at night, during the day he has to defend himself with Foggy Nelson and Karen Page against the impending bankruptcy of Nelson & Murdock . One evening in the pub where Karen Murdock comes very close, the three are visited by a man who calls himself "Grotto" and was a mercenary in the service of a group of criminal Irish who were all shot in a massacre. After telling them that they were about to steal Wilson Fisk's legacy, he collapses from a gunshot wound and is taken to the hospital by Karen. At the scene of the crime, the policeman friend, Brett, Murdock and Foggy, said that it was suspected that a new group was behind it that had already attacked the rocker gang “Dogs of Hell”. Murdock learns from the arms dealer Turk Barrett that the cartel is now trying to expand its influence on Hell's Kitchen with smuggled military weapons and that they have a base near the slaughterhouse. Foggy hopes for information from a previous friend when he visits the "Dogs of Hell", but is received there very harshly and has to leave with the knowledge that his contact person has been murdered. In the slaughterhouse, Murdock discovers the dead members of the cartel lined up on meat hooks, one of whom can tell him in his last breath that the supposed "army" is just one man. He finally enters the hospital and aims at Grotto, who, however, runs away with Karen in the car. From the roof, the attacker then targets Grotto with a sniper rifle when Murdock attacks him and the two fight him. At the end of it, the stranger manages to break away from Murdock and pull a pistol with which he shoots him in the head (which is protected by the helmet).
15th 2 Dogs to a shootout Dogs to a Gunfight 18 Mar 2016 18 Mar 2016 Phil Abraham Douglas Petrie & Marco Ramirez
Through the media rush at the hospital, Foggy learns of Daredevil's involvement in a fight and spots him motionless on a nearby roof, from where he takes him to his apartment. There Murdock wakes up again and, thanks to his mask, survived the headshot unharmed, but is subsequently plagued by occasional interruptions in his hearing. During negotiations about Grotto's admission to the witness protection program, Foggy and Karen meet the unfriendly public prosecutor Samantha Reyes in the police station, who can enforce her condition that Grotto contacts a former partner in the drug business as an informant for her. Murdock visits Melvin Potter in his workshop and asks him to have his helmet repaired, and the latter informs him of his suspicion that the shooter deliberately did not kill him. Murdock then sneaks to the scene of the murder of the Irish and follows the blood trail of a dog to the hideout of the brutal vigilante, now known in public as the “ Punisher ”, where he finds numerous weapons and equipment for eavesdropping on the police radio. In a transmission room, Reyes and her assistants with Foggy and Karen meanwhile monitor the operation of the wired grotto, which is received by the police instead of the drug lord and, as Foggy and Karen realize, is actually used as bait for a trap for the punisher. However, he knows about the police radio and lets a truck drive into the square uncontrolled in order to cause confusion and lure Grotto out of the cover of the police. Before he can shoot him with his sniper rifle, however, he is attacked by Murdock, so that another fight breaks out, to which the police become aware and fire shots. While Grotto flees unnoticed in the excitement, the two fighters fall through a glass roof into a building and disappear when the police arrive.

After a brief loss of consciousness, Murdock finds himself tied up with chains on a roof, where the Punisher is preparing his next action. The ex-soldier shows himself unwilling to kill Daredevil and even reveals recognition for his actions in conversation, even if he considers this to be ineffective and claims that the crime in Hell's Kitchen can only be stopped if the criminals are eliminated forever . Murdock condemns this way of thinking and accuses the Punisher of making unjustified decisions about the lives of others and robbing them of their chance of recovery. Prosecutor Reyes threatens Foggy and Karen with blaming Nelson & Murdock for the failed police operation and declares Grotto's witness protection invalid. While Foggy then inquires about Murdock in the overcrowded hospital and is assured by Claire Temple that he has not been admitted, Karen Reyes' assistant Blake Tower confronts the unscrupulousness of his superiors and manages to get him to secretly hand over the files to the Punisher -To persuade murders. In the meantime, the Punisher has succeeded in grasping the fleeting grotto with which he now wants to get Daredevil to break his command not to kill: After he used Grotto to confess the murder of an innocent woman who was commissioned to him in the way came, urging Murdock to shoot him with a pistol attached to his hand. If he doesn't, the Punisher would kill Grotto, which can only be prevented if Murdock first shoots the Punisher. When Murdock bursts his chains with the pistol instead, the Punisher shoots Grotto and then uses his rifle to destroy several motorcycles belonging to the nearby Dogs of Hell. Murdock can knock out the Punisher, but then has to fight off the onrushing bikers, which, although he defeats everyone, gives the Punisher the opportunity to escape.
17th 4th Penny and Dime Penny and Dime 18 Mar 2016 18 Mar 2016 Peter Hoar John C. Kelley
In order to get revenge on the Punisher for the murder of his comrades and to get back the money he had stolen from him, the Irish mafia boss Finn Cooley and his men search for him and after some violent questioning discovers his accommodation. Karen shows Murdock and Foggy an X-ray from the Punisher file, on which his skull and a fatal gunshot wound can be seen, and during further investigations comes across a former male nurse who was once fired because he asked the dying Punisher independently brought to his house. Through a clue in his hiding place, the Irish find the Punisher in front of a children's carousel in Central Park and overwhelm him, even if his resistance demands some losses. After the ineffective torture, Cooley brings the punisher to a statement about the whereabouts of his money by threatening his dog, but there Cooley's men are killed by a previously placed bomb. The Punisher then frees himself with the help of a blade hidden under a bandage, grabs a shotgun and shoots Cooley before he is helped to escape by Daredevil, who learned the location of the shelter from an Irishman who was knocked down at the carousel. Daredevil drops the seriously injured Punisher down in a cemetery and, grateful for the rescue act, Daredevil tells him how he came home after the war and proudly hugged his little daughter, only to see her with his wife and son a short time later to be found murdered. The Punisher, real Frank Castle, is then handed over to police custody and Murdock persuades policeman Brett to claim his arrest in order to increase public confidence in the police. After an evening together, where he kissed Karen goodbye, Murdock returns to his apartment and is expected by a woman named Elektra .

Murdock met Elektra Natchios ten years ago at a university party, where he impressed her with his powers of observation and combination skills, guessing that her rich father made her lead a boring life and could only enjoy the unexpected. Favored by their shared passion for martial arts, a love affair developed that lasted until the evening when Murdock allowed Elektra to persuade him to break into an empty villa, without realizing that she was pursuing the plan to get him revenge on his father's murderer and owner of the villa, Roscoe Sweeney. After Elektra knocked him down and handcuffed him on his return, Murdock could not have the heart to kill him and instead called the police, whereupon Elektra left him disappointed. In the present, Elektra asks Murdock to do research on their shady dealings in view of a meeting with Roxxon Energy Corporation , which Murdock refuses. Out of curiosity, he sneaks up to the roof of the building the next day and overhears the meeting that Elektra uses to secretly smuggle a virus into Roxxon's computer system. Outraged that the arrested Punisher is superficially portrayed in the news as a psychopath, Karen searches the New York Bulletin for information in the archives with the help of editor Mitchell Ellison and finds a two-year-old newspaper article about a shootout between the Dogs of Hell, the cartel and the Irish Mafia at a children's carousel in Central Park. By transferring a large amount of money to the financially troubled Nelson & Murdock , Elektra Murdock is doing a favor, who then goes to her penthouse, as expected of her, where she is preparing for a fight with the Roxxon thugs brought on by the virus. While Murdock then goes to a gala with Elektra to steal a ledger from Roxxon, Castle uses Karen's explanation of why she broke into his empty house to remember his family through her experiences, and leaves also read to herself Reyes' fabricated report about the murder of his family. Murdock and Elektra meanwhile steal a key card from the Roxxon accountant and sneak past guards and cameras into the office, where they find the book behind a secret door. By posing to the now alarmed guards as drunk lovers who have lost their way, they get back outside, where they look at the ledger, in which, in addition to figures about the arms, drug and human trafficking of the Yakuza, another, discover encrypted written transaction; this arouses Murdock's curiosity to such an extent that he decides to continue helping Elektra for the time being. In the meantime, Foggy has managed to negotiate a life sentence for Castle, which the latter refuses in front of the judge when, surprisingly, he pleads not guilty and threatens Reyes. In front of his apartment, Murdock is finally expected by the angry Foggy, who tells him about Castle's deed and informs him that the trial will begin next week.

The arduous preparation for the upcoming Punisher trial does not prevent Murdock from his nocturnal activities with Elektra, who next questions the Japanologist with him, who encrypted the secret transcript in the Roxxon ledger and now tells them that there is one behind it at the freight yard present delivery of unknown content. After Castle expresses a desire not to justify his innocence with a post-traumatic stress disorder, Karen Foggy gives the idea of cross-examining the coroner who prepared the fake autopsy report of Castle's family for Reyes and is summoned by her as a witness to take. Meanwhile, Murdock and Elektra find only a lot of sand in the Yakuza's freight car and are then attacked by their gangsters, who they can all eliminate. Exhausted from the fight, Murdock appears late for the court date the next morning and, as agreed, cannot deliver the opening speech, for which Foggy then has to improvise. Murdock apologizes and vows to make up for his mistake, but is overheard in his apartment that evening while talking to Karen about the Elektra negotiation. This wants to help Murdock by forcing the coroner to confess about the false autopsy report, but thereby invalidates the testimony as evidence because the judge realizes that it is taking place under threat of violence. When confronted by angry Foggy, Murdock explains that his ex-girlfriend, Elektra, is behind it, leading to a loud argument in which Foggy accuses Murdock of preoccupying himself with Elektra rather than the trial. Then Murdock and Elektra investigate a large construction site behind which they suspect a connection to the sand and in which, after eliminating a few yakuza guards, they discover a huge hole several hundred meters deep.

Standing in front of the hole, Murdock and Elektra are suddenly attacked by several ninjas and have to flee, which they manage with the help of the stick that suddenly appears. In Murdock's apartment, the latter makes a makeshift antidote for Elektra, who was wounded by a poisoned blade, and thus saves her from death. Stick explains to Murdock that the ninjas belong to an ancient group called "Die Hand", which he has been trying to fight since his youth as "The Chaste", for which he repeatedly recruits fellow campaigners, including Elektra. After two witnesses, Colonel Ray Schoonover and a brain doctor, speak out in favor of Castles innocence in the court hearing, which Murdock is currently staying away from at Foggy's request, Karen can persuade him to testify himself and Murdock to conduct the associated questioning. Due to Castle's lack of willingness to cooperate, Murdock takes the floor for him and speaks to him of good intentions that only fell victim to incorrect implementation. To Murdock, Foggy and Karen's horror, Castle reacts with malice and claims that he would not regret any of his actions, provoking the audience so loudly that he has to be led out of the hall. Foggy and Karen blame Murdock for this, who then returns to Elektra, who has since sent Stick away because she no longer wants to work for him, but exclusively with Murdock. While still in his apartment, Murdock is surprised by a ninja of the "hand" and hit with an arrow in the chest, which does not prevent him from continuing the fight and finally overpowering the attacker. To Murdock's shock, he turns out to be a child, whose throat Elektra unceremoniously cuts, whereupon Murdock passes out due to the arrow in his chest. The now convicted Castle is meanwhile taken to Wilson Fisk in the prison yard by a corrupt police officer.

After interrogating her about the shooting at her apartment, during which she doesn't mention Castle, Karen joins him in hopes of being better protected from the Blacksmith with him. In his endeavor to find the same, Murdock asks Blake Tower, who knows nothing about the Blacksmith's identity, but recommends his greatest competitor in the heroin business, the Triads, as a source of information. In a café, Castle and Karen are attacked by two men, but Castle is able to kill both of them. One of them violently learns that the Blacksmith can be found on his ship at the pier. Murdock receives the same information in the hiding place of the triads from Madame Gao, who, however, cannot tell him the exact location of the Blacksmith's ship, which is why Murdock only reaches it after Castle has already switched off all guards and poured gasoline on the ship. In the face of the supposed Blacksmith, Murdock Castle stands in the way and reveals his suspicion that this is not the real one. Angry about Murdock's intervention, Castle attacks him until he realizes the futility of the fight and lets go of it. The ship is then fired upon by enemies, whereupon Castle Murdock pushes overboard and the ship goes up in flames. When Karen arrives with the police afterwards, Castle has disappeared and the police are pleased with the huge heroin find. While “Die Hand” finally lets the young people bleed out in a tub and drains the blood into the sarcophagus, Elektra discovered Stick's hiding place and stabbed two of his students in the car in front of it. With difficulty, one of the two drives to Murdock's apartment and is dying to tell him that Elektra is about to kill Stick.

Karen is grieving at Castle's apparent death and believes her investigations into the murder of his family are over, but Editor Ellison encourages her to uncover the whole truth and offers her Ben Urich's former office as a place to work. When asked how the ninjas can sneak up completely unseen every time, Murdock receives a tip from Foggy, one of which he examines below. During a visit from Castle's former commanding officer, Colonel Ray Schoonover, Karen recognizes a soldier in a photo as one of the bodies left by Castle on the pier, which makes it clear to her that Schoonover is the Blacksmith. When he realizes this, he pulls a pistol and forces Karen to drive her car into the forest, where they are rammed by another car, the driver of which turns out to be Castle. Despite Karen's plea not to do so, Castle pulls Schoonover into a nearby cabin and shoots him before he finds his secret arsenal of weapons behind a hidden wall. Meanwhile, Murdock has met ninjas in the tunnel and had to fight them. He was able to follow them as they escaped to the secret hiding place of the "hand", which is held captive in the stick. He has been tortured in the meantime and can now be freed by Murdock, who then faces Elektra and shortly afterwards Nobu, accompanied by several ninjas. As he reveals, "The Hand" has worshiped Elektra since childhood as her greatest weapon, "Black Sky", which is due to the fact that Elektra herself was originally trained by the "Hand" until Stick took her away for her protection. Murdock can persuade Elektra not to join the "hand" and flee after another fight with the ninjas, as can Elektra and Stick.

After this comes under fire from the ninjas, the police officer calls for reinforcements, which gives Murdock the opportunity to locate the hiding place with the help of his excellent hearing. After a long and persistent fight Nobu is able to knock the two of them to the ground, but when he tries to pierce Murdock with Elektras Sai , Elektra throws himself in between and is stabbed. While Murdock then pounces on Nobu and pushes him from the roof, the remaining ninjas are shot from a distance by the Punisher.
