Brad Turner (Director)

Brad Turner (* in Bayfield , Ontario , Canada ) is a Canadian director and producer .

Life and accomplishments

Turner completed the Television Arts Program at HB Beal Secondary School , a high school in the Canadian city of London , Ontario . He has a brother who was a pilot.

Turner has appeared in over 100 productions to date and is primarily a director of television series . He is also the producer of the real-time series 24 with Kiefer Sutherland . He directed the crime film The Inspectors (2000) with Louis Gossett Jr. and the science fiction film Species III (2004) with Robin Dunne and Natasha Henstridge .

In 2004 Turner won the Gemini Award for directing the Human Cargo miniseries . In 1987, 1988, 1992, 1996, 1998 and 2000, a total of six times, he was nominated for this Canadian television award. The Directors Guild of Canada presented him with the 2004 DGC Craft Award and the DGC Team Award for the Human Cargo miniseries . In 2005 Turner was nominated for the Leo Award for best director in the drama series The Collector . In 2006, he received the Emmy for Best Drama Series for 24 shared with Joel Genealogie , Robert Cochran , Kiefer Sutherland, Michael Loceff , Jon Cassar, and others.

He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Directors Guild of Canada .
