Robert Cochran

Robert Cochran (sometimes called Bob Cochran ) is an American producer and screenwriter .

Life and accomplishments

When Cochran was twelve, his family moved to Monterey , California , where he grew up. He is a lawyer by profession. Early in his writing career, he wrote for the LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials, and The Antagonists court series . He dealt with a historical topic. a. in the miniseries Attila (2001). He mainly produces and writes his scripts for television series .

Cochran is best known for the real-time series 24 (since 2001) with Kiefer Sutherland , which he invented together with Joel Genealogie . Before that, both worked together on the dramatic agent series Nikita (1997-2001), in which Peta Wilson played the lead role. As the inventor of 24 , he was also involved in the video game 24: The Game (2006).

Cochran has received various awards. Among other things, he won, shared with others, an Emmy for 24 for best drama series in 2002 and 2006 . In 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 he was nominated for this award, each for 24 . The Writers Guild of America nominated him in 2007 for 24 best drama series for the WGA Award (TV) .
