Farren Blackburn

Farren Blackburn is a British film and television director and screenwriter who became internationally known for films such as Hammer of the Gods and Shut In .

life and career

Farren Blackburn has worked in the film business in a variety of roles since the beginning of the millennium. He first worked as a screenwriter and director on a number of short films before directing the documentary series Panorama in 2004. He then worked as a director for many other television series in Great Britain and the USA, including: Footballers Wive $ - added time , Doctors , Casualty , Holby City , Silent Witness , Vera - A very special case , The Fades , Doctor Who , Luther , The Musketeers , Marvel's Daredevil , The Interceptor , Marvel's Iron Fist , The Innocents or A Discovery of Witches . Together with his colleagues Susan Hogg, Caroline Skinner and Jack Thorne, he was awarded a BAFTA Award in 2012 in the Best Drama Series category for the television series The Fades .

With these valuable experiences, Blackburn then directed the adventure and historical film Hammer of the Gods in 2013 with Charlie Bewley and Alexandra Dowling in the leading roles, his first own feature film. The French-Canadian thriller Shut In followed in 2016, starring Naomi Watts , Oliver Platt and Charlie Heaton .

Farren Blackburn is married to actress Verona Joseph and they have two daughters and a son.
