Chadwick Aaron Boseman (born November 29, 1976 in Anderson , South Carolina , † August 28, 2020 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film actor .
Boseman was best known for the role of the superhero Black Panther in a number of Marvel Studios films , especially as the main character in the film Black Panther . Boseman et al. life and career
Chadwick Boseman grew up in the US state of South Carolina. He graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing. He also attended the British American Dramatic Academy in Oxford . Since Boseman was interested in the ethnicity of his African ancestors, he had a DNA analysis carried out, which showed a match with the Limba from Sierra Leone .
Boseman made his first television appearance in 2003 in the television series Third Watch . In the following years he appeared in series such as Law & Order , Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme , Cold Case - No victim is ever forgotten and Lie to Me . Between 2008 and 2009 he appeared in nine episodes of the Lincoln Heights series. 2010 followed a lead role in the short-lived series Persons Unknown . He got engaged in October 2019 to singer Taylor Simone Ledward, whom he also married, as his family announced only after his death.
In August 2020, at the age of 43, he succumbed to the effects of colorectal cancer , which had already been diagnosed in 2016 ( stage III ) but had not been made public by Boseman. Boseman's last film role was that of trumpeter Levee in the music film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom about the blues musician Ma Rainey .
