Chadwick Aaron Boseman (born November 29, 1976 in Anderson , South Carolina , † August 28, 2020 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film actor .

Boseman was best known for the role of the superhero Black Panther in a number of Marvel Studios films , especially as the main character in the film Black Panther . Boseman et al. Chadwick Boseman grew up in the US state of South Carolina. He graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing. Since Boseman was interested in the ethnicity of his African ancestors, he had a DNA analysis carried out, which showed a match with the Limba from Sierra Leone .

Boseman made his first television appearance in 2003 in the television series Third Watch .
