Rene Marie Russo (born February 17, 1954 in Burbank , California ) is an American film actress .

Life

Russo attended Burroughs High School , where Ron Howard was one of her classmates. From the tenth grade onwards, she neglected school and took numerous jobs, including at Disneyland , to overcome the family's financial difficulties.

In 1972, she attended a concert of the Rolling Stones and was the talent scout John Crosby discovered. She started her career as a model in the fashion industry. After a few years she was counted among the most successful models in the USA. She was often on the covers of magazines such as B. Vogue to see. In the 1980s, numerous orders for television advertising were added.

Russo studied literature intensively and took acting classes. She got some small theater roles. In 1988 she got her first film role in The Indians of Cleveland .

Russo has been married to screenwriter and film director Dan Gilroy since 1992 and has one daughter. She lives in Brentwood , a borough of Los Angeles, California.
