Dan Gilroy
Daniel Christopher Gilroy (born June 24, 1959 in Santa Monica , California ) is an American screenwriter and director .
Life
Daniel Christopher Gilroy is a son of screenwriter Frank D. Gilroy . His twin brother is film editor John Gilroy and his older brother is screenwriter Tony Gilroy . He studied at Dartmouth College . With his brother Ed, he founded the dance-pop band Breakfast Club . At the time, Dan was dating Madonna and taught her to play the guitar. After the band broke up in 1988, Gilroy devoted himself to writing and made his debut as a screenwriter with the science fiction film Freejack - Hostage of the Future .
With Nightcrawler - Every Night Has Its Price From 2014 he made his directorial debut. He also wrote the script, starring Jake Gyllenhaal . For his work Gilroy et al. a.
