Breakfast Club was a US dance-pop - band from New York , who also initially Madonna belonged. The group had their greatest success in 1987 with the song Right on Track , a top 10 hit in the USA.
history
The formation was founded in the late 1970s by brothers Ed and Dan Gilroy in New York. Before her solo career, Madonna was the band's drummer and was in a relationship with both singer Dan Gilroy and drummer Stephen Bray . Madonna left Breakfast Club in 1979 and formed the pop band Emmy with Bray and bassist Gary Burke. In 1987 Breakfast Club released the first and only album that bore the band's name. The single Right on Track reached number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100 and position 32 in the German charts . Their last single Drive My Car , a cover version of the Beatles song of the same name , was released in 1988. In the same year the band broke up.
