The 2011 Critics' Choice Television Awards were presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) on June 20, 2011 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills , California . The nominations were announced on June 5, 2013. Programs that were broadcast in prime time in the period from June 1, 2010 to May 31, 2011 were taken into account . In the United States, the ceremony was streamed live on broadcaster VH1's website and aired in a shortened version on the Reelz Channel two days later . The event was moderated by Cat Deeley .

Regardless of the actual presentation, the awards in the category Most Promising New Series (in the original Most Exciting New Series ) were presented on June 9, 2011 .
