Life
Mireille Enos was born in Houston as one of four children to a French woman and a Mormon missionary . The family belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . After graduating from high school, she went to Brigham Young University , where she studied drama and theater. However, the strictly Christian-oriented university was careful not to include nudity and filthy words, which is why it looked envious of its friends who studied in New York City and played a wider variety of roles on Broadway . So she decided to go to New York in her third year of studies, where she played in a wide variety of theater plays until 2005. In parallel, she played even in smaller independent films minor supporting roles, and could be seen in a few episodes of larger series before 2007 in the drama series Big Love , an HBO film about Mormons, a recurring role from 2010 to 2014 in the AMC - crime series The Killing played the lead role as Sarah Linden . In 2013 she stood next to Brad Pitt in the zombie horror film World War Z , which is based on the book of the same name by Max Brooks.
