Julianna Margulies
Julianna Luisa Margulies (born June 8, 1966 in Spring Valley , New York ) is an American actress . She is a Golden Globe Award winner and three-time Emmy Award winner.
life and career
Margulies is the daughter of a former professional ballet dancer and the philosopher Paul Eli Margulies (1935-2014). She spent part of her youth in England and Paris . She graduated from the renowned Sarah Lawrence College .
Margulies was best known for her role as nurse Carol Hathaway in the US television series Emergency Room . For this role, she received numerous awards and nominations, including four Golden Globe nominations and six nominations for an Emmy, which she won once in 1995 for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category .
Although her 27 million dollars for a contract extension at Emergency Room were offered Margulies refused to focus more on other projects.
In 2008, Margulies played one of the main characters in the television series Canterbury's Law . Two years later, the title role in the series Good Wife earned her the first Golden Globe Award after six unsuccessful nominations in the past. In 2011 and 2014, she was also able to win an Emmy for this role in the category Best Actress in a Drama Series . In Good Wife she is spoken by her longtime dubbing voice Anke Reitzenstein .
Personal
On November 10, 2007, Margulies married her fiancé Keith Lieberthal in Lenox, Massachusetts . The couple have a son who was born on January 17, 2008.
