Joel McHale (2014)

Joel Edward McHale (born November 20, 1971 in Rome ) is an American actor and comedian .

Life

McHale grew up in Seattle . After graduating from Mercer Island High School, he studied history and drama in Seattle at the University of Washington , receiving his bachelor's degree in 1999 and his master's degree in 2005.

From 2004 to 2015 he hosted the American television program The Soup . From 2006 he also produced the show. In addition to his career as a television presenter, he often appears in films, for example as bank manager Mr. Jacks in Spider-Man 2 . His role as Jeff Winger in the NBC Sitcom community made him very popular . He played his next leading role in the 2016/17 sitcom The Great Indoors , which was discontinued after one season.

In April 2014 he was a speaker at the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner .

McHale married Sarah Williams in 1996. They have two sons and live in the Hollywood Hills .
