action

Mini is in her senior year of high school . Her mother, Diane, is an alcoholic actress who did not abort Mini for the simple reason that she could support her father, who however died shortly after Mini was born. Mini has little to do with her stepfather , the wealthy businessman Martin.

Mini's purpose in life is to collect “first times”. She strives to have new experiences and to try everything at least once. When she tries herself as a call girl and wants to sleep with a suitor for the first time , her stepfather Martin unexpectedly faces her. After the first shock, the two begin a passionate affair, of which Diane is of course not allowed to find out. Eventually, Mini and Martin agree that they have to get rid of Diane.

They decide to systematically drive Diane insane so that she can be sent to a mental institution . To do this, Mini steals prescription drugs from the school infirmary and mixes them in Diane's drinks. Then Mini begins to cancel appointments or order bizarre things in Diane's name, so that Diane gets into embarrassing situations that she cannot explain to herself. In the end, Mini hires two boys who give Diane threatening phone calls and make her feel like she is suffering from terrible delusions. As a result, Diane tries to kill herself with an overdose of pills.

When Mini and Martin find her, she is unconscious and in bad shape, but not dead. They decide to heave Diane into her garage car and make it look like she's taking pills first swallowed and then killed himself with car exhaust.

In fact, all friends and acquaintances believe in the suicide theory, only the investigative Detective Garson has doubts and begins to feel Mini and Martin on the tooth. The couple has to appear as father and daughter in front of the world, which seriously damages their relationship. In order to finally act like a real couple, they go on vacation, but there they meet their neighbor, the television producer Mike, who seems to be suspicious of the relationship between the two.

Shortly afterwards, when Martin receives photos that show him and Mini in compromising situations, he suspects Mike as the sender and becomes increasingly paranoid . Due to his constant absence, he not only loses important customers, but is eventually thrown out of the company he founded 15 years ago by his partner. Mini, on the other hand, befriends Mike and even appears on one of his television shows, in which, according to the concept, she breaks two lovers apart through a one-night stand .

Finally, Martin goes completely crazy and brutally hits Mike in his house with one of his golf clubs, whereupon he falls into a coma and Martin is arrested by the police officers summoned by Mini at the scene. Martin is charged and convicted of the murder of Diane. Mini, on the other hand, is a victim. She visits Martin in prison and tells him that it was she who sent the incriminating photos to get him to lose control, make himself suspicious, and let Mini get away with it.

criticism

The editors of Movieman.de judge: “There is a first time for everything! A simpler and better description is actually not possible. A pretty college girl lives her life by her own rules. Cold-blooded, sneaky and yet charming! Black humor at the highest level. Lots of things that you don't expect and that happen anyway. Described in one word: »Krass« and that without exaggeration. You don't even want to look because you can't imagine a girl doing something like that and yet you can't look away. Very well done, although, in my opinion, it's more of a women’s film, as the male population is probably too distracted from the women to be able to listen carefully. But dear women, please do not follow this woman as an example, it can go very badly! "

The editors of VideoWoche saw “well-groomed Hollywood entertainment”: “A teenage babe (TV series star Nikki Reed) murders her mommy and manipulates seasoned men in jail and ruin in a hardly surprising or original and, for such conditions, quite funny and entertaining black crime comedy with a »Lolita« touch. Strong men's staff stood in line for the Girlie's victims, including Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum and Luke Wilson. "

The lexicon of international films said: "Deep black comedy with a little surprising plot, but told in a straightforward manner and with humor, well played."
