action
Rebecca and Cecil, unlike their father Wilbur, are not enthusiastic about their new stepmother, Marissa. When she also gives birth to a baby, the children feel even more neglected. That changes suddenly when they learn that Marissa is a super spy on a mission to put an end to the villain Tick Tock. This is because it is about to steal time from the entire world. It goes without saying that Rebecca and Cecil help their cool stepmom to put an end to the nasty time bandit.
A super villain threatens to steal the world's time, special agent Marissa and her band of children oppose it.
background
Robert Rodriguez was inspired by an incident on the set of Machete to make a fourth film in the Spy Kids saga. Leading actress Jessica Alba stood in front of the camera with her one year old child, Honor Marie, while his diaper was full. While Alba was changing diapers for her child, Rodriguez came up with the idea of a "spy mom".
Production of the film officially began on September 25, 2009, six years after Mission 3D was released . The script for the film was completed in December 2009. The title of the film was revealed on March 24, 2010. Filming for the film began in October 2010. The teaser was released on May 26, 2011 during Kung Fu Panda 2 and on June 3, 2011 during X-Men: First Decision .

criticism
"Rapid continuation of the" Spy Kids "children's film series, which pulls the standards of the agent film through the cocoa. With imaginative settings that unfold impressively in 3D, and a roller coaster-like action course, the film is quite entertaining, although it fails to contour its characters in such a way that they become popular. "
Possible continuation
In February 2012, Dimension Films mentioned that production of Spy Kids 5 would begin later that year. The previous line-up should continue to be there.
