Elizabeth Avellan
Elizabeth Avellan (born November 8, 1960 in Caracas , Venezuela ) is an American film producer.
Born in Venezuela, Elizabeth Avellan and her family moved to Houston , USA, at the age of 13 . There she later studied at Rice University . Her first experience in the film business was in 1991 when she worked as an animator on the film Bedhead by director Robert Rodriguez . The following year she was an associate producer on Rodriguez's movie debut El Mariachi . Their collaboration intensified and to this day Avellan is involved as a producer in the film productions of Rodriguez. She is also the Vice President of the joint film production company Troublemaker Studios, which was founded in 2000.
She was married to Robert Rodriguez from 1990 to 2007 and they have five children together.
