Norman Matt

Norman Matt (* 1974 in Cologne ) is a German advertising , dubbing , audio book and voiceover speaker .

Life

From 1983 Matt worked at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), first as a children's speaker , and later as an actor. Matt studied theater, film and television studies as well as German and philosophy at the University of Cologne and the Distance University in Hagen . As an actor, he was seen in the 2004 television film Der Teufel von Rudow directed by Ulrich Meczulat .

However, Norman Matt is best known as a commercial and voice actor. Since 2004 he has often been the German dubbing voice for Paul Rudd (among others in Jungfrau (40), male, sucht ... and Year One - All beginnings are difficult ), Mark Ruffalo (among others in 30 über Nacht , Zodiac - Die Spur des Killers and The Kids Are All Right ), Jason Schwartzman (inter alia in The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Scott Pilgrim against the rest of the world ) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (inter alia The Sound of the Heart and the television series The Tudors ). He is also the standard voice of Cillian Murphy (since 2005; inter alia in The Dark Knight and Inception ) and Michael Fassbender (since 2009; inter alia in Inglourious Basterds and Prometheus - Dark Signs ). His voice can be heard in several cartoon and anime series , including Dragonball , Cosmo & Wanda - When Elves Help , Barbarian Dave and Blue's Clues - Blue and Smart as Steve. Since 2011 he is also a station Voice radio station ProSieben worked so Matt can be heard in numerous trailers for feature films and series.

As a dialogue director he was responsible for the German dubbing of several episodes of the television series Navy CIS and sets Michael Weatherly to music in the role of Tony DiNozzo. Matt wrote the dialogue books for Der Babynator und Ich, Du und der Andere (2006) and was the German dubbing director for Brokeback Mountain (2005), Sin City (2005) and The Mummy: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). His work on the German dubbing of Inglourious Basterds was awarded the Silhouette Audience Award in 2011 in the category of best dubbing film .

On the TV show Do You Understand Fun? he can be heard as a doll Kurti .

In addition to his dubbing work, Norman Matt recorded various radio plays and books. Many video gamers also have him in their ears as the voice of the title hero Guybrush Threepwood from the LucasArts computer game series Monkey Island .
