Aaron Stanford (born December 27, 1976 in Westford , Massachusetts ) is an American actor and film producer .

Act

Stanford first studied at the State University of New York and then moved to the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University . Even during his studies, Stanford was active as a theater actor. After graduating Magna cum laude in 2000 , he devoted himself entirely to acting. In 2002 Stanford starred alongside Sigourney Weaver in the independent film Everyone Loves Oscar . He was nominated for a Golden Satellite Award for his performance . In the same year he starred in Spike Lee's character study 25 hours .

In 2003 Bryan Singer gave him the role of Pyro in the action film X-Men 2 based on the X-Men comic series by Marvel Comics . Stanford played the same character in 2006 X-Men: The Last Stand . Despite his increased popularity through these two films, he mainly plays in American independent films . In 2014 he took on a leading role in the Syfy drama-mystery series 12 Monkeys , opposite Noah Bean and Amanda Schull .
