David Anders Holt (born March 11, 1981 in Grants Pass , Oregon ) is an American actor. He took the name Anders because there was already an actor by the name of David Holt .

Life

David Anders started acting as a child. At the age of 17 he played "Philip the Apostle" in a performance of Jesus Christ Superstar in a regional theater. The next year he took over the George in Thornton Wilder's school production Our Little Town . In August 1999, David was accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts drama school in Pasadena , California . Still, he decided to move to Los Angeles , where he signed with an acting agency. Only after a change of agent did he get a prominent role that made him better known: the role of the villain "Sark" in Alias . He also played guest roles in various series such as So Little Time , CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators , Charmed - Magic Witches , CSI: Miami , Deadwood , Grey's Anatomy and Lie to me . Most recently he took on leading roles in films that were not used in theaters in Germany. He appeared in seasons 2, 3, and 4 of Heroes, as well as the eighth season of 24 . He also played a supporting role in the Vampire Diaries . His German dubbing voice is mostly from Norman Matt .

Anders has three siblings, two brothers, Jason and Arik, and sister Maili.
