Undead as we - You are as dead as it feels (original title: The Revenant to German : The Revenant) is an American horror - comedy by D. Kerry Prior from the year of 2009.

Bart was killed in the course of a military combat mission in Iraq and was buried a few weeks later in his homeland in the United States. After he rises from the dead, he goes to his best friend Joey, completely confused. Through a hint from their friend Mathilda, the two discover that Bart is saved from decay if he drinks human blood. Since Bart does not want to kill honest people, he and Joey go on to kill criminals, which Bart then sucks the blood from. This goes well for some time until Joey is mortally wounded in a raid and Bart drinks his blood in desperation. Some time later, Joey also turns into an undead .
As a result, they move through the city together to find new victims, until one evening they accidentally kill police officers who are operating undercover in the drug scene. Both are surprised by Mathilda. During the ensuing argument, Joey eventually kills Mathilda. However, she was previously able to send a voicemail to Bart's former lover, Janet. She doesn't want to live without a beard and offers him that he can feed on her in the future if he only drinks a little blood from her every night. But Bart is too greedy and sucks her completely in sexual ecstasy . When Joey discovers this, the friends quarrel and split up. While Bart decapitates Janet and sinks it in a river, Joey is dismembered by one of the duo's previous victims, who also became revenants after being sucked out. After Bart realizes the danger posed by him, he tries several times to be killed until he is captured by the military. Together with its mutated victims, it is ultimately dropped on Iran as a biological weapon .

The film was nominated for the 2009 Gold Hugo for directing by D. Kerry Prior in the After Dark Competition category of the Chicago International Film Festival .
At the New York City Horror Film Festival 2009 the film won in the categories Audience Award , Best Actor , Best Director and Best Feature . The film also won the Festival Trophy Award at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival 2009.
