action
Raj, Pooja and Tina have been friends since childhood. Since Raj has always been attracted to the beautiful Tina, he does not know anything about Pooja's feelings for him.
Raj's father decides to move to England with his family because of his job, and Raj goes with him. Tina makes Raj promise to stay in touch with him via email. But Tina quickly gets busy with other things, so it's really Pooja that Raj is writing; however, she always signs with Tina's name. After a few years, Raj returns to India to see Pooja and Tina again. He has fallen in love with the girl he has written to over the years and thinks it is Tina when it is actually Pooja.
When the three of them meet again for the first time, Raj completely ignores Pooja and during his two weeks stay he notices that the real Tina is very different from the Tina in his letters. He starts to like Pooja but doesn't realize he's fallen in love with her.
Raj returns to England and Pooja follows him - and eventually he finds out that Pooja wrote him all the letters. They confess their love to each other and want to get married. In India, however, Tina's father has died and Pooja refuses to marry Raj, believing he is the only thing Tina has after her father's death. Raj's parents decide that Raj should marry Tina, but Raj would much rather let them know that he prefers Pooja. However, Pooja still refuses to marry Raj and so he swears out of anger and desperation that he will only marry Tina if Pooja marries someone else on the same day.
Pooja manages to get engaged to a friend of Raj, Rohan Verma and they will get married on the same day as Raj and Tina. Rohan notices that something is wrong and that Pooja is in love with Raj, but he maintains the masquerade. On the day of the wedding, with a little help from the gods, Tina finds out that Raj is in love with Pooja and releases him for Pooja's sake; and Raj and Pooja can get married.
