Rohit's parents are dead and he lives with his little brother Amit with his uncle and aunt. This is how Rohit and Sonia get to know each other and Sonia immediately falls in love with him.
When Rohit gets a job as a singer on a cruise ship to Singapore , he runs into Sonia who is making the same trip. On the ship, the two get into an argument. You get drunk and spend the night on a lifeboat, which comes loose. So both end up on a lonely island and finally become aware of their love.
But her father stands between their love, because Rohit happens to witness a murder in which Saxena is an accomplice. Saxena does illegal business that his daughter doesn't know about. When he discovers Rohit at the crime scene, he has him killed by two bribed police officers, who then throw his body into the river. Sonia learns of Rohit's death and falls into depression. Her father sends her to New Zealand to see her cousin to get over Rohit's death.
Once there, she meets Raj, who looks exactly like Rohit. He immediately fell in love with her, but she blocks because she knows that her true love is already dead.
Sonia travels to India again , followed by Raj, who doesn't just want to let her go. Raj stays in India for a while and one day is shot by Rohit's murderers. Now Raj and Sonia question whether Rohit's death wasn't a murder after all and not an accident, as she was told. After much research they find out that Rohit was actually murdered and so Raj and Sonia devise a plan with the help of their friends.
Unfortunately, their plan is thwarted by the killer and they kidnap Sonia. Raj saves Sonia and brings her to safety. There he finds out who the real killers are and, surprisingly, Sonia's father is among them.
Ultimately, the murderers, as well as Saxena, are arrested and Raj and Sonia, who meanwhile fell in love with Raj, marry.
