Ravi Kapoor

Ravi Kapoor (born June 27, 1969 in Liverpool , England ) is a British actor and director of Indian descent, who was primarily known for his role as Dr. Mahesh "Bug" Vijay of the crime series Crossing Jordan - pathologist with profile .

Ravi Kapoor received his acting training at the London "East 15 Drama School". Kapoor worked in England for ten years as a professional actor before moving to Los Angeles in the USA with his wife, actress Meera Simhan , where he still lives today.

Kapoor played on the theater stage as well as in front of the camera - including in the British independent film Wild West (1992), in the British mini-series Blood and Peaches (1995) and The Peacock Spring (1996) as well as in the 10-part TV Series In a Land of Plenty (2001). Kapoor became known for his roles in Gideon's Crossing (2001) and Crossing Jordan - Pathologist with Profile (2001-2007). In 2006 he starred in Shakespeare's play King Lear at the California Shakespeare Theater .

After Crossing Jordan ended , Kapoor was mostly seen in guest roles in various series such as 24 and Heroes .

Ravi Kapoor is a member of the "South Asian Artists Collective" (SAART) and co-organizer of the Artwallah Festival, which takes place every year in Los Angeles, a platform for South Asian talents in the arts.
