Rakesh Roshan ( Hindi राकेश रोशन Rākeś Rośan ; Urdu راکیش روشن; * September 6, 1949 in Bombay , Maharashtra as Rakesh Roshan Lal Nagrath Marathi राकेश रोशनलाल नागरथ ) is an Indian director and Bollywood actor .

biography

Rakesh's father Roshan was a famous composer. His brother Rajesh Roshan is also a well-known composer. However, the most famous of the Roshan family is his son Hrithik Roshan . Rakesh is married to Pinky Roshan , an actress.

Rakesh Roshan started his acting career and has appeared in over 70 films. He then founded his own production company, Filmkraft. Since 1982 he has directed and produced Hindi films . His most successful films were Khudgarz (1987), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) and Karan Arjun (1995). In his film Kaho Naa ... Pyaar Hai - Love out of the blue , his son starred for the first time and became a megastar. The other films in which Hrithik Roshan played the leading role have also become great successes: ( Star Child - Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish ).
