SK-Babies is a German television crime series that was produced from 1996 to 1999 in Cologne and the surrounding area.
action
Chief Inspector Stefan Jarcyk decides to use a "youthful" police unit to solve criminal cases that affect young people . The young police officers are supposed to investigate undercover in the youthful crime scene . You have to deal with relatively simple cases of drugs , theft and assault , but kidnapping , occultism and the squatter scene are also part of your responsibilities. The five chosen plainclothes officers come straight from the police school : the sensitive loner Kevin Peters, the charmer Vittorio del Favero, the understanding Turkish woman Nesrin Üstünkaya, the impulsive Hannes Lohberg and the self-confident Michaela "Mic" Andersen. Jarcyk's idea does not necessarily meet with approval from the rest of the older colleagues, in particular Police President Siedhoff and Chief Police Officer Rattke consider the young unit to be superfluous and therefore give it the nickname “SK Babies”. But a short time later, the younger colleagues are clearly superior to the older ones.
In episode 10, Jarcyk dies as a result of a car bomb explosion. He is succeeded by Chief Inspector Berg. In the 18th episode, Budde becomes the new head of department. Mic leaves the group in episode 33 to head his own special commission in Berlin. She will be replaced by Julia Hauptmann.
