Zachary Levi Pugh (born September 29, 1980 in Lake Charles , Louisiana ) is an American actor and voice actor . He became known with the leading role of Chuck Bartowski in the television series Chuck .

Life

Zachary Levi was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1980 and has an older and younger sister. He grew up in different regions of the United States before his family settled in Ventura, California.

At the age of six years, Levi began theater play. After various minor roles, Levi was from 2002 in the four seasons of the sitcom Office Girl as Kipp Steadman , opponent of the main character, part of the main cast. From 2007 to 2012 he was seen as Chuck Bartowski in the agent television series Chuck , with which he achieved greater notoriety. For this title role, Levi received a Teen Choice Award in 2010 and other nominations. Levi starred in Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 in 2009 . Since 2011, Levi has been hosting the free NerdHQ with NerdMachine in San Diego at the same time as Comic-Con , where actors hold panel discussions, new video games are introduced and money is raised for the non-profit organization Operation Smile .
