The focus of Office Girl Claude Casey (is Sara Rue ), which has long worked in the mail room of the TV channel GBN. The series begins with her surprising appointment as personal assistant to anchorman Will Butler ( Eric Roberts ). In the new job, she has to deal with scheming colleagues Kipp Steadman ( Zachary Levi ) and Lydia Weston ( Andrea Parker ). Both try to push Claude out of the job, which she can always prevent with the help of her two friends Owen Kronsky ( Andy Dick ) and Ramona Platt ( Sherri Shepherd ).

Office Girl first aired on ABC on October 1, 2002 . The first two seasons achieved good ratings. When the third season began broadcasting on a new slot, the ratings fell steadily and the series was about to be canceled. Since the ratings in the advertising-relevant target group of 18- to 49-year-old viewers were high enough, the station decided to commission a fourth, but shortened, season with 13 episodes. The fourth and final season was broadcast from April 2006. However, Office Girl was finally canceled after only five episodes broadcast.
The German-language first broadcast started on November 15, 2003 on ProSieben . The series was broadcast on a weekly basis until May 2004 and then canceled. The television series Office Girl was temporarily discontinued and only briefly returned to ProSieben's morning program in 2008.
In 2009 the program was broadcast daily on Comedy Central Germany . It will be broadcast again in April and May 2010 (currently 29 episodes) on the Comedy Central Germany channel. Since the beginning of May 2010 she can also be seen on Sixx.
