George Wyner

George Wyner (born October 20, 1945 in Boston ) is an American actor. He played in over 190 film and series productions.

Career

George Wyner was born in Boston, Massachusetts, where his father Edward Wyner founded and ran the Ritz Carlton Hotel, which was one of the premier hotels in Boston in the 1950s. Wyner's father died when his son was in high school.

Wyner graduated from Syracuse University in 1968. In the early 1970s, he was a sought-after character actor. Wyner has appeared in over 100 television series and starred in nine. His best-known roles are Assistant District Attorney Bernstein in Hill Street Blues, Colonel Sandurz in Spaceballs, and Rabbi Nachtner in A Serious Man.
