Missy Peregrym (born June 16, 1982 in Montreal , Québec ; actually Melissa Peregrym ) is a Canadian actress and former model .

Family and youth

Peregrym is the daughter of a clergyman (Darrell Peregrym) and a housewife (Vanessa Peregrym) and has two sisters. She was born in Montreal but lived in Surrey for most of her childhood and adolescence , where she attended Fleetwood Park Secondary School . She says of herself that she was a tomboy in her youth . She was also heavily involved in her high school sports activities, which included soccer and snowboarding.

Career

Peregrym began modeling at the age of 18 and starred in various commercials for Mercedes-Benz , Sprint Canada Inc. (now Rogers Telecom ) and for the Olympic Games . She made her acting debut in 2002 in an episode of Dark Angel . In the following years she played in several television series , e.g. B. Black Sash , Jake 2.0 , Smallville , Tru Calling , Life as We Know It , Andromeda and in the TV movie Call Me: the Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss . After a role in Catwoman 2004, for which she was not named in the credits , Peregrym played the role of Candice Wilmer in the 2007 series Heroes .

In 2006 Peregrym made her film debut with the lead role in the film Stick It , which appeared in Germany under the name Rebell in Sneakers . She also had a role in the online short film Le Montage . In the summer of 2007 she got the role of Andi Prendergast in the series Reaper - A Devilish Job produced by The CW . She replaced Nikki Reed , who played the role in the first version of the serial pilot . As of 2010, Peregrym played a leading role in the Canadian police series Rookie Blue , which ran over 6 seasons. Since 2018 she has played the leading role in the TV series FBI .

Peregrym currently lives in Los Angeles . From June 2014 to April 2015 she was married to actor Zachary Levi . In December 2018 she married Australian actor Tom Oakley.

She speaks both English and French.
