Where My Dogs At? is an American animated series produced for MTV and conceived in 2006 by Aaron Matthew Lee and Jeffrey Ross .

content

The series is about the two befriended dogs Buddy and Woof, who flee from their adversary dogcatcher and are always involved in funny situations with various celebrities. Buddy the Beagle is always trying to get to New Jersey . He is rather critical of people and does not allow himself to be trained to be a lap dog . Woof is rather reserved, despite being a bulldog . He limps but is still strong and fast. Despite his constant assurances to Buddy never to submit to a person, he repeatedly falls into a relationship of dependence with a celebrity appearing in the series . The dog catcher is always on the heels of the two protagonists. You can only see it from the neck down. In addition, his only spoken sentence is in virtually every episode: "Where my dogs at?" .

In every episode, the two dogs meet celebrities, such as Snoop Dogg , Lindsay Lohan , Paris Hilton , Brad Pitt , Angelina Jolie , Tara Reid , Jennifer Aniston , Michael Jackson or Marilyn Manson .

controversy

In August 2006, after the series first aired, there was controversy over the portrayal of African Americans who were perceived as racist. It was about a scene in which Snoop Dogg leads two black women on a leash who are walking on all fours. Christina Norman, president of Viacom, owner of MTV, defended the series and thus the criticized scene as social satire, in this case a satire on Snoop Dogg.
