Conflicts with the law

In late 2006, Lohan's alcohol and drug problems became public. She attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings . In January 2007 she was admitted to the "Wonderland" rehab clinic in Los Angeles . On May 26, 2007, she was arrested in Los Angeles for drunk driving after ramming a curb with her Mercedes.

She was arrested again on July 24, 2007 in Santa Monica after pursuing her personal assistant's mother around town at high speed.
