ROADRACERS is a TV movie of 1994 . Directed by Robert Rodriguez . Bad Boys Never Die is his second feature film after the 1992 hit, El Mariachi . The film was first broadcast on the American TV channel Showtime Network .

Robert Rodriguez tells of a rebel named Dude Delaney, who dreams of leaving his eschatological , small town and becoming a rockabilly star. However, he gets into trouble with the town's sheriff and his son. Salma Hayek plays Dude's friend Donna.

The score was composed by Paul Bill and Johnny Reno . Although the album is featured in the credits for the soundtrack, allegedly for sale on A&M Records , the album was never released.

“[...] A lot of clichés are deliberately thrown around the face here. The clear highlight here is the music, one old rock song is constantly being added to the others. You can see the low budget of the film, of course, and the story isn't a hit either, but it has an unmistakable cult charm and is quite entertaining. [...] "
