Bill Nye the Science Guy was an American children's television entertainment show that clearly explained scientific phenomena. The program was hosted by the presenter, author and scientist Bill Nye . It ran from September 10, 1993 to June 20, 1998 on PBS Kids and occasionally on local television.
Each of the 100 half-hour episodes aimed to explain a specific scientific topic in a child-friendly manner. In US schools, episodes of the program are used as illustrative material in class. Bill Nye the Science Guy is repeated on television to this day.
