Betty Gilpin (born July 21, 1986 in New York City ) is an American actress .

Life

Gilpin grew up in New York City as the daughter of the actor couple Jack Gilpin and Ann McDonough . She has appeared as an actress in film and television since 2008, her oeuvre includes more than three dozen productions.

She became known for her role as Dr. Carrie Roman in the TV series Nurse Jackie . Since 2008 she has also appeared in television series such as Fringe - Grenzfalls der FBI , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , Elementary and American Gods . In 2015 she also starred in the film True Story - A Game for Power .

In October 2016, she got the lead role of Debbie "Liberty Belle" Eagan in the Netflix series GLOW .
