Dieter Memel

Dieter Memel (* 1951 ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Career

At the beginning of the 1980s, Dieter Memel appeared for the first time as an actor in productions for GDR television and as a voice actor in DEFA arrangements . Since the reunification he has been mainly active as a voice actor and since 1997 has worked alternately for Berlin and Munich dubbing studios. One of Memel's best-known dubbing roles is Peter Haber as " Kommissar Beck " in the Swedish crime series of the same name.

In several STAR TREK series he was heard in numerous supporting roles, for example for Tony Todd in the Hugo Award nominated episode The Visit to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and for Anthony De Longis in the recurring role of “First Majes Culluh ”in Star Trek: Spaceship Voyager .

In addition, Dieter Memel u. a. Doug Jones as "Pan" in Pan's Labyrinth , Jeff Rawle as "Amos Diggory" in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Ken Stott as "Marius Honorius" in King Arthur . In the anime series Hellsing he lent his voice to the character "Walter". He also speaks the engineer in Team Fortress 2 . He also speaks in the anime series One Piece, Vice Admiral of the Navy "Monkey D. Garp".

In 2003 the audio book Ludwig Bechstein read by Dieter Memel was published : The most beautiful fairy tales .

Since 2011 he has lent his voice to Ian Gelder as Kevan Lannister in Game of Thrones and speaks Mike Rostenkowski in the sitcom The Big Bang Theory . Since 2013 Memel has also dubbed Gerald McRaney in the role of the billionaire industrialist "Raymond Tusk" in the House of Cards series .
