Peter Billingsley
Peter Billingsley (born April 16, 1971 in New York City ) is an American actor . He became known as a child actor in the movie Merry Christmas ( A Christmas Story ). Billingsley is also active as a film producer and director .
Life
Billingsley is the youngest of three siblings who all grew up in the film business . Billingsley was already seen as a performer in various television advertisements at the age of three. Billingsley starred as Messy Marvin in several commercials for Hershey Chocolate Syrup in the 1970s and became famous for this role. In addition to various appearances in television programs and films, Billingsley was seen in over 130 commercials. Billingsley was nominated for an Emmy for his role as Ralphie in the comedy Merry Christmas .
With the end of the eighties Billingsley was seen less in front of the camera and appeared instead as an executive and co-producer, for example in the films Made (2001) and Zathura - An Adventure in Space (2005). He also directed the 2009 comedy film All Inclusive and several episodes of the sitcom Sullivan & Son (2012-2014). In 2016 he directed the film Term Life - Murderous Race .
