Steven Ogg (born November 4, 1973 in Calgary , Canada ) is a Canadian actor . He became known for his role as Trevor Philips in the computer game Grand Theft Auto V from 2013. He also played the lead role of Simon in the television series The Walking Dead in seasons 6–8 .

Career

Ogg began his acting career in a film for the National Film Board of Canada , Canada's state film board . He later took on some roles in plays, then focused on a career in sports, which he had to end quickly due to an injury.

So he moved to New York and henceforth devoted himself to his acting career again. He appeared in small supporting roles in well-known television series such as Law & Order and Third Watch - Einsatz am Limit , while he continued to work in theater performances and also earned his living as a voice actor.

After Ogg took a break from acting to build his house, he was as a voice actor and motion capture actor from Rockstar Games for the game Grand Theft Auto V is involved. There he took on the role of Trevor Philips , who is particularly noticeable for his excessively violent behavior and his fits of anger. The character Trevor Philips received positive reviews and was Ogg's breakthrough. Since then, Ogg has appeared significantly more often on television and in films, and in the film He Never Died he took on a larger role as a supporting actor. Over three seasons he played a supporting role in the sixth and from the seventh the main role of Simon in the horror series The Walking Dead .

Steven Ogg has a son.
