Mirza Kadim Erivani
Mirza Kadym Irevani (* 1825 in Yerevan , Erivan Khanate , † 1875 ibid Russian Empire ; Azerbaijani Mirzə Qədim İrəvani ) was the first Azerbaijani painter in the European sense.
Erivani created drawing stencils for embroidery, wall paintings and others. In the Erivani portraits ( Fatali Shah , seated woman , young man - exhibited in the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan , Baku ) he used a special form of sculpture - analogous to the model shown - which overcomes the flatness of the image in traditional Azerbaijani art .
