Tobin Bell (born August 7, 1942 in Queens , New York City ; actually Joseph Henry Tobin ) is an American actor .

Life

Bell grew up in Weymouth, Massachusetts . His mother is the British actress Eileen Bell. Bell graduated from Boston University . He took acting lessons from Lee Strasberg and Ellen Burstyn at New York's Actor Studio and from Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse . He appeared on various theater stages in New York.

Bell often plays the role of the villain and serial killer. His most famous role is probably that of the serial killer Jigsaw in the Saw films. Bell was nominated for "Best Movie Villain" at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards for Saw II . He also had a role in the second season of the television series 24 . Furthermore, he had (eg. Guest appearances on various series Nikita ) or was in films such as Goodfellas - Three decades in the Mafia by Martin Scorsese , The Company of Sydney Pollack with Tom Cruise , In the Line of Fire - The second chance with Clint Eastwood and Quick and the Dead with Sharon Stone to see. Since 2016 he has a supporting role in the series The Flash , in which he is the voice of the villain Savitar / Alchemy .
