Chief Inspector Kaga - Tokyo Airport Police ( Japanese 大 空港 , Daikūkō , German "major airport") was a Japanese television series that was broadcast from 1978 to 1984.

It was first broadcast in Germany on May 18, 1983 under the title Fahndung: Tokyo Airport Police on GDR television (DDR1 channel). A further 23 episodes were broadcast on GDR television (DDR1 and DDR2) at irregular intervals until June 1987. The series was extremely popular with television audiences in the GDR. From 1988 to 1990 RTLplus also broadcast the series, two of which were premiered in Germany.

It was a crime series with corresponding genre-typical plot and presentation features. The content of the episodes with a playing time of 45 minutes were fictional cases from the work of the airport police in Tokyo and the fates and incidents among the travelers. Actor of the title character Hiroyuki Kaga was Kōji Tsuruta .

Synchronization

The German synchronization was carried out by the DEFA Studio for Synchronization , East Berlin. The dialogue book for was written by Eberhard Richter, Wolfgang Woizick, Werner Klünder and Hannelore Fabry. Hasso Zorn , Thomas Kästner , Dagmar Richter and Klaus-Michael Lura were responsible for directing the dialogue .
