Joachim Kaps
Joachim Kaps (born November 3, 1952 in Görlitz ) is a German actor and voice actor .
Life
Joachim Kaps studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . He then worked from 1976 to 1979 at the South Thuringian State Theater in Meiningen , where he appeared in 27 roles in three seasons. In 1979 he switched to the pantomime ensemble at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. At the same time he made a guest appearance at the Volksbühne Berlin on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. At this time he also began working for television, where he has appeared more than 200 times to date. He played the clownish host "Achim" on the children's program Brummkreisel a hundred times alone . Another well-known role was from 1983 to 1989 that of "Hans-Günther Koch" in the TV series of the GDR television holiday home Bergkristall . Thanks to his distinctive voice, he has also been active as a voice actor, speaker of audio books and in radio plays and since the turn of advertising for just as long. He spoke in more than 400 radio productions.

Since 2006 he has been employed at the Berlin Criminal Theater . His best known dubbing work was for Steve Zahn in " Crimson Tide " and David Schofield in " Gladiator ". Since 2012, Kaps can be seen in the role of Colonel von Schadowitz at the annual Krabat Festival at the Krabat-Mühle Schwarzkollm adventure farm . Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book is one of his works as an audio book speaker .
Joachim Kaps is the father of Susanne Kaps .
