John Billingsley
John Billingsley (born May 20, 1960 in Media , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor .
life and career
The family moved often during his childhood until they stayed in Weston , Connecticut , where Billingsley performed in the school theater. He later received his theater training at Bennington College in Vermont . After graduating, he moved to Seattle and appeared in various plays there. In 1989 he founded the Book-It Repertory Theater , which has set itself the task of adapting literary material for the stage.
Billingsley's role as Denobulan Dr. Phlox on the Enterprise in Star Trek from 2001 to 2005. Before that, Billingsley had guest roles in series such as The X-Files , Six Feet Under , Gilmore Girls , Stargate - SG-1 , Prison Break and other. In Cold Case, for example, he played the recurring role of a serial killer in several episodes. He also took on minor supporting roles in various movies. He was in Out of Time alongside Denzel Washington and in White Oleander and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles alongside Michelle Pfeiffer . In 2001 he worked in Das Glashaus and in 2002 in High Crimes - In the Net of Lies . From 2006 to 2007 Billingsley was one of the main characters in the television series The Nine , which was discontinued after the first season due to a lack of public interest. In 2009 he starred in three episodes of the seventh season of 24 as well as in the 2012 movie .
Billingsley lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Bonita Friedericy . His hobbies include baseball - he is a fan of the Seattle Mariners - and books; he owns over 5,000 volumes.
