David Rintoul
David Rintoul (* 29. November 1948 in Aberdeen , Grampian as David Wilson ) is a Scottish actor .
life and career
David Rintoul was born in the city of Aberdeen and grew up with a brother and sister. After finishing school, he studied at the University of Edinburgh and won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London .
Rintoul has worked in a variety of theater productions, mostly with the Royal National Theater and the Royal Shakespeare Company . Shakespeare's staged plays include A Midsummer Night's Dream , Henry IV , As You Like It, and the title role in Macbeth . Other appearances include productions of George Bernard Shaw and Sebastian Barry .
He has been active in film and television since 1973. He first worked on the series Weir of Hermiston before taking his first film role in 1975 in Die Legende vom Werewolf . From 1993 to 1996 he played the lead role in the series Doctor Finlay . Since then he has appeared in a variety of British TV series, including Prince Regent , Taggart , Agatha Christie's Poirot and Game of Thrones .
More recently, Rintoul has also increasingly lent his voice to video game characters. He also works as a radio play speaker. Since 2015 he has played the role of Sir James Powell in John Sinclair - Demon Hunter , the English version of the radio play series Ghostbusters John Sinclair .
Rintoul is married to the actress Vivien Heilbron .
