Graham McTavish (born January 4, 1961 in Glasgow , Scotland ) is a British actor .

Life

In 2000 he toured the world as Vincent van Gogh with his self-written piece Letters from the Yellow Chair . He starred as Fitz in the 2004 play Four Nights in Knaresborough . For this role he was nominated for Best Actor for the Manchester Evening News Theater Awards in 2004. He appeared in 2006 at the Royal Court Theater in London in the play Rainbow Kiss by Simon Farquhar and had other roles at the Royal Lyceum Theater in Edinburgh .

Movie and TV

In the eighth season of Red Dwarf , he played Warden Ackerman. He also had many supporting roles in British dramas and films such as Casualty , Jekyll , The Bill , Taggart and Sisterhood early in his career . McTavish moved to Los Angeles from the UK in 2007 . A week after his arrival, he was given a role in the film John Rambo alongside Sylvester Stallone . In 2009 he took on one of the leading roles with Big Marc in Hooligans 2 - Stand Your Ground . Furthermore, he portrayed a Russian diplomat in the eighth season of series 24. Since August 2014, he can be seen in the series Outlander .

In the three-part real - life adaptation of the children's book The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien by director Peter Jackson , McTavish was seen as the dwarf Dwalin. In the series Preacher he has played the character of the saint of the killer since 2016.

Video games

McTavish also appeared in many video games . He spoke, among others, Commander Lucius in Shadow Complex , Dante Alighieri in Dante's Inferno , Zoran Lazarevic in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Charlie Cutter in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception . In the Call of Duty series, too , he repeatedly takes on different roles.
