Pip Torrens
Pip Torrens (born June 2, 1960 in Bromley , Kent , England ) is a British actor .
Life
Torrens was educated at Trinity College of the University of Cambridge .
He made his stage actor debut in 1981 in the role of Delahay in the play Another Country . From the mid-1980s he had his first roles in British productions. In 2005 he starred as the butler in Joe Wright's drama Pride and Prejudice . From 2011 onwards, numerous roles in larger film productions followed. Torrens appeared in the biopic My Week with Marilyn , Steven Spielberg's war film Companions and the literary adaptation Anna Karenina . In 2015 he took on the role of Dr. Hexler in the biopic The Danish Girl . In the same year, Torrens played the role of Colonel Kaplan in the science fiction film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In 2017, Torrens was cast in the Netflix production The Crown as Tommy Lascelles , private secretary of Queen Elizabeth II . Torrens has appeared as Klaus Starr in the Preacher series since 2017 .
