Eli Kenneth Marienthal (born March 6, 1986 in Santa Monica , California ) is an American stage / film actor and voice actor .

Life

Marienthal was born in Santa Monica to Jewish parents - Joseph and Lola Marienthal. His siblings are actors Harley and Flora Cross. After his parents' divorce, he lived mainly in Berkeley with his mother .

During his school days, between his third and fourth grades, he spent some time in Paris with his father, who works as a reporter there. Marienthal graduated from the private East Bay French-American School, where French is the second language of instruction and classes are bilingual.

He began his career at the Bay Area Theaters, where he appeared in plays such as Missing Persons , The Cryptogram , Hekuba , A Midsummer Night's Dream , Every 17 Minutes the Crowd Goes Crazy and the Life of Galilei . In the movies American Pie and American Pie 2 , Marienthal played Steve Stifler's younger brother. Marienthal played the title role of Tucker Pierce in 2000 in the television series Tucker . In 2004 he starred alongside Lindsay Lohan in the teen comedy Confessions of a High School Diva . In 2009 he appeared as Ben Walsh in the horror film The Reeds .

Marienthal was 1999, the original voice of Hogarth Hughes in the science fiction - animated film The Iron Giant . He also gained great fame in 2003 as the original voice of Robin / Tim Drake in the animated film Batman - Riddles about Batwoman .
