Tad Hilgenbrink

Tad Hilgenbrink (born October 9, 1981 in Quincy , Illinois , USA ) is an American actor . He was popularly presented through his role in American Pie: The Next Generation as Matthew Stifler .

Life

Tad Hilgenbrink gained his first acting experience in the theater group at his school. He attended Millikin University in Decatur , Illinois, and later the Institute of English Studies (IES) in London, where he studied Shakespeare extensively .

Hilgenbrink became famous for his role in American Pie: The Next Generation . He was selected for the role because of his resemblance to actor Seann William Scott (who played Matt's older brother Steve Stifler ) and replaced Eli Marienthal , who played Matt in the first two parts of the American Pie film franchise.

In 2008 Hilgenbrink starred as Chris Emerson in Lost Boys 2: The Tribe and in 2009 alongside Chris Carmack and Rider Strong in H2O Extreme .
