Colin Morgan (born January 1, 1986 in Armagh , Northern Ireland ) is an actor from the United Kingdom .

Life

Morgan attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama , where he graduated in 2007.

He then appeared at the Old Vic Theater in 2007 and played the role of Esteban in the adaptation of Pedro Almodóvar's Everything About My Mother . He also played the title role in the adaptation of DBC Pierre's Jesus von Texas at the Young Vic Theater and appeared in the play A Prayer for My Daughter by the playwright Thomas Babe in 2008 .

Morgan played various supporting roles in various television series, including 2007 in The Catherine Tate Show or 2008 in Doctor Who , before he finally got his first leading role in 2008 with the role of Merlin in the series of the same name . In 2010 he worked in Iceland , the film adaptation of a book by Jane Rogers . He has appeared in the Humans series since 2015 . He also played in The Fall - Death in Belfast from 2014 to 2016 .
